I know... it makes me very VERY sad...

What are they going to do for Mr. Satan in Dragon Ball Kai and Jimbei in One Piece now?!

And Heihachi in Tekken!
Hopefully they'll find someone decent to fill the multitude of roles.
(I had no idea he played Heihachi....my fav character)

Although perhaps its a bit too soon to be discussing possible replacements.

Wait, I know they record stuff in advance.

What're the chances they've already recorded a decent way into the Whitebeard War?

Considering he left a note and committed suicide I'd expect something bad to have happened. He might have done his part as Jimbei and been dropped by his agent/company.

Who knows?

Either way I'm sure they'd be able to find a replacement. After all theirs plenty of fishmen in the sea.

Update: Dragon Ball Kai announced to get a US release!

They're gonna dub it too, I REALLY hope they take the opportunity to do a good dub this time around.

I actually liked the Funimation dub, save for a few characters (Frieza).

Fix'd for misspelling, and the FUNimation dub was an atrocity of epic proportions... they destroyed the Japanese script... and just... uugh....

No, I didn't misspell it...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frieza

:knowledge:

As for the dub, I've never really watched the Japanese dub, save for the few DBZ DVD's I owned way back when, so I wouldn't be able to make much of a comment in terms of script. But the actual voice acting was decent (far superior to the Oceans Dub at least *quickly takes cover*).
